Top corrections officials yesterday acknowledged that death-row inmate Michael Addison had earned a "tier worker" status, which allowed him out of his cell more frequently than fellow maximum-security inmates to do simple cleaning tasks.

HOOKSETT - In an attempt to stop E-ZPass drivers from speeding excessively though 10-foot-wide tollbooth lanes, state officials have announced a reduction of speed limits at all toll booths around the Granite State.

LACONIA - Updated, 7:15 a.m. A Massachusetts motorcyclist was slightly injured when a dark sedan crossed a center line, forcing her off the road. Police said the motorcycle crashed into the top of a propane tank, causing a small gas leak.
