Raleigh-Area Dunkin’ Donuts Customers Collect Coffee to Send to Troops

Raleigh – Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in Raleigh were among many in North Carolina and Florida that recently held "Coffee for Our Troops," a limited-time program that allowed customers to easily and inexpensively send a pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee and a personal message to U.S. soldiers. The effort was conducted with Support the Troops Inc., an organization that regularly sends care packages to troops overseas. Overall, the effort generated 6,163 lbs. – more than three tons – of coffee, as well as more than 6,000 notes to soldiers. [read more]
